Model Detail
Qwen3-Coder-30B-A3B-Instruct
—Qwen3-Coder-30B-A3B-Instruct is a code generation model with 30B parameters released by Qwen. The model is registered under the text-generation pipeline tag on Hugging Face, and supports text->text inputs, distributed under the permissive apache-2.0 license.
Qwen3-Coder-30B-A3B-Instruct has been evaluated across multiple task suites. On task-specific evaluations the model scores 60.4% resolved on SWE-Bench.
Qwen3-Coder-30B-A3B-Instruct is priced at $0/M input tokens and $0/M output tokens. Operationally the model offers a 262K-token context window, which matters when sizing it for prompt-heavy or latency-sensitive workloads. At this input rate the model sits in the commodity tier and is suitable for high-volume workloads where per-call cost dominates the decision.
Qwen3-Coder-30B-A3B-Instruct ships with 30B parameters. The published knowledge cutoff is 2025-06-30, so newer events will not be reflected in zero-shot answers without retrieval. Total weight footprint is approximately 30.5 GB, which is the relevant figure when planning local-inference VRAM. The apache-2.0 license is permissive, allowing commercial deployment and derivative work without per-seat fees, though attribution requirements still apply.
Downloads of Qwen3-Coder-30B-A3B-Instruct have moved -71.0% over the trailing seven days. The decline is steep, which typically signals a newer release displacing this checkpoint or a known issue surfacing in the community. These numbers are signal, not guarantee — week-over-week download counts on Hugging Face also reflect mirror traffic, CI scrapes, and one-off benchmarking runs.
Qwen3-Coder-30B-A3B-Instruct is best fit for code completion, repository-scale Q&A, and pair-programming integrations, high-volume batch jobs where per-call cost dominates the budget, and long-context tasks such as full-codebase analysis or book-length summarization (262K tokens). It is a less obvious choice for one-shot generation of security-critical code without review. Treat this as a starting matrix rather than a benchmark verdict — the right deployment usually depends on the specific evaluation suite that mirrors your workload.
Privacy-preserving inference on hosted models: a learned input-embedding transform for frozen Qwen3.8-27B
arXiv:2610.27817v1 Announce Type: new Abstract: Every prompt sent to a hosted language model is readable by whoever runs it. We study whether the prompt can remain on the client while the host receives transformed vectors that stand in for it. A language model converts text to vectors exactly once,
Beyond the Benchmark: Conditioning, Domains and Failure Modes of Qwen3-TTS
arXiv:2610.23678v1 Announce Type: cross Abstract: Qwen3-TTS reports state-of-the-art zero-shot voice cloning, but its technical report leaves open how the model should be conditioned, how it behaves outside read speech, and how it fails. We characterise its two cloning interfaces, in-context learnin
Guarded Gradient-Based Activation Steering of Shutdown Responses in Qwen3.5-0.8B: A Minimum-Step Policy
arXiv:2609.30326v1 Announce Type: new Abstract: Activation steering changes a model's internal activations during inference without updating its weights, but a useful intervention must determine both how and when to steer. Motivated by the AI-safety concern that a model expected to accept shutdown m
Qwen3.8-Omni: Towards Native Omni-Modal Agents
arXiv:2609.25611v1 Announce Type: new Abstract: We introduce Qwen3.8-Omni-Flash, a natively multimodal agentic model for real-world multimodal productivity. Compared with previous omni models, which primarily emphasized perception and interaction, Qwen3.8-Omni-Flash substantially improves multimodal
Coaching Qwen3 Coder 30B to Think Like a CodeClash Arena Agent
arXiv:2609.16096v1 Announce Type: cross Abstract: Large language model coding agents have recently become useful for software tasks, but weaker or open-weight agents still struggle to reliably interpret user intent and execute complex multi-step workflows. This gap is especially visible in long-hori
Scaling Post-Training Ternarisation to Qwen3-8B Capability Retention, Reproduction, Lossless Packing, and Packed Execution
arXiv:2609.09240v1 Announce Type: cross Abstract: Ultra-low-bit language models promise reductions in storage and memory traffic, but a nominal "1.58-bit" label does not specify the deployed representation or its execution cost. We study a scale-up of an aggressive post-training conversion pipeline
