In short
- You can cancel Pro at any time. You keep access until the end of the paid period.
- If you are a consumer in the EU, you have a legal 14-day right to withdraw from a new subscription, described below.
- Beyond that legal right, our refund decision is: [refund decision: to be completed].
Cancelling
Open Settings and choose Manage Subscription. It opens the Stripe customer portal, where you can cancel. Cancelling stops future renewals and no further payment is taken. Pro stays active until the end of the period you already paid for. Cancelling does not by itself refund the current period.
Right of withdrawal for consumers
If you are a consumer in the European Union (and in the UK under similar rules), you have the right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days, without giving a reason. The 14 days start on the day you subscribe.
To withdraw, tell us clearly that you do. Email [email protected] from the address of your account before the 14 days end. You may use this text:
I withdraw from my contract for the Databubble Pro subscription. Account email: [your account email]. Subscribed on: [date]. Name: [your name]. Date: [today].
We confirm receipt and refund within 14 days of being told you withdraw, to the payment method you used, through Stripe. Your bank decides how long it then takes to appear.
Immediate start and loss of the right
Pro access starts as soon as your payment is confirmed. When you subscribe, you ask us to start supplying Pro immediately and you acknowledge that:
- if you withdraw within the 14 days after asking for an immediate start, you pay for what was supplied until you told us you withdraw, in proportion to the full price; and
- where the law says the right of withdrawal is lost once a digital service or digital content has been fully supplied, or its supply has begun with your prior express consent and acknowledgement, you lose that right.
Draft note: this section is only accurate if the Stripe Checkout page shows this request and acknowledgement before the customer pays. Checkout does not do that yet. Until it does, treat every consumer in the EU as keeping the full 14-day right.
Other situations
If you were charged by mistake, charged twice, or cannot use Pro because of a fault on our side, write to us and we will put it right. If you are not a consumer (you buy for your business), the statutory right of withdrawal does not apply and our refund decision above governs.
