Model Detail
Spark-X2.5-1.7B-Base
—Spark-X2.5-1.7B-Base is a code generation model with 1.7B parameters released by XHToken. The model is registered under the text-generation pipeline tag on Hugging Face, distributed under the permissive apache-2.0 license.
Spark-X2.5-1.7B-Base ships with 1.7B parameters. Total weight footprint is approximately 1.7 GB, which is the relevant figure when planning local-inference VRAM. The apache-2.0 license is permissive, allowing commercial deployment and derivative work without per-seat fees, though attribution requirements still apply.
Spark-X2.5-1.7B-Base is best fit for code completion, repository-scale Q&A, and pair-programming integrations. It is a less obvious choice for one-shot generation of security-critical code without review. Treat this as a starting matrix rather than a benchmark verdict — the right deployment usually depends on the specific evaluation suite that mirrors your workload.
A week with RTX Spark: everything we’ve learned using Nvidia’s new laptops
Nvidia's RTX Spark N1X processor is finally here, and we've been collectively testing a small fortune's worth of powerful laptops sporting this new "superchip." RTX Spark is designed to be a high-performing Arm-based SoC for laptops and small desktop computers, rivaling the best from Apple, Intel, A
How Windows is being optimized for Nvidia’s RTX Spark laptops
Microsoft and Nvidia held a launch party for the first wave of RTX Spark laptops last week in San Francisco, where a new wave of AI PCs took center stage amid a packed crowd and a lively hands-on area. A day after the media event, I was invited to a quieter Nvidia event to hear […]
SPARK: Learning from Verification in Speculative GRPO Rollouts
arXiv:2608.04962v2 Announce Type: replace-cross Abstract: Group Relative Policy Optimization (GRPO) has become a standard approach for improving the reasoning abilities of large language models, but its training is costly because each step requires generating many long reasoning responses. Recent me
SPARK: Adaptive Parametric Knowledge Participation for Faithful Retrieval-Augmented Generation
arXiv:2606.27786v2 Announce Type: replace-cross Abstract: Retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) enhances the faithfulness of large language models (LLMs) by incorporating external knowledge into the generation process. However, conflicts between retrieved context and parametric knowledge can cause LL

Surface RTX Spark Dev Box is available for preorder for $5,999
Microsoft's Nvidia-powered Surface RTX Spark Dev Box is available for preorder now and is slated to ship in November for just about $6,000. It's pricier than the DGX Spark mini PC Nvidia launched last year, but PC prices have been climbing due to shortages of RAM and other components. The Dev Box's
