Model Detail
Tess-4-9B
—Tess-4-9B is a multimodal model with 9B parameters released by migtissera. The model is registered under the image-text-to-text pipeline tag on Hugging Face, distributed under the permissive apache-2.0 license.
Tess-4-9B ships with 9B parameters. Total weight footprint is approximately 9.7 GB, which is the relevant figure when planning local-inference VRAM. The apache-2.0 license is permissive, allowing commercial deployment and derivative work without per-seat fees, though attribution requirements still apply.
Tess-4-9B is best fit for mixed text-and-image reasoning tasks such as document understanding. Treat this as a starting matrix rather than a benchmark verdict — the right deployment usually depends on the specific evaluation suite that mirrors your workload.
EncoTESS: Age-Sensitive Encodings from Raw TESS Light Curves
arXiv:2608.25019v1 Announce Type: cross Abstract: Main sequence stars of spectral types late F through M exhibit systematic variability in photometric light curves, particularly when they are young. Rotational modulation of starspots manifests as quasi-sinusoidal variability, which enables the measu
Trajectory-Agnostic Asteroid Detection in TESS with Deep Learning
arXiv:2605.12391v1 Announce Type: cross Abstract: We present a novel method for extracting moving objects from TESS data using machine learning. Our approach uses two stacked 3D U-Nets with skip connections, which we call a W-Net, to filter background and identify pixels containing moving objects in
ExoNet: Calibrated Multimodal Deep Learning for TESS Exoplanet Candidate Vetting using Phase-Folded Light Curves, Stellar Parameters, and Multi-Head Attention
arXiv:2604.15560v3 Announce Type: replace-cross Abstract: The discovery of exoplanets at scale has become one of the defining data science challenges in modern astrophysics. NASA's Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS) had catalogued over 7,800 planet candidates by early 2026, yet confirmatio
ExoNet: Multimodal Deep Learning for TESS Exoplanet Candidate Identification via Phase-Folded Light Curves, Stellar Parameters, and Multi-Head Attention Fusion
arXiv:2604.15560v2 Announce Type: replace-cross Abstract: NASA's Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS) has identified thousands of exoplanet candidates, yet many remain unconfirmed due to the limitations of manual vetting processes. This paper presents ExoNet, a multimodal deep learning frame
